Brief Story: The movie starts with a scene where Alice (played by Milla Jovovich) is being chased by Umbrella soldiers on motorcycles. She escapes from them and hides inside a cafe. After killing an Umbrella soldier who had followed her into the cafe, she shoots at a television set to attract attention to herself and then escapes by jumping through a window.

She later meets up with Carlos (Oded Fehr), LJ (Mike Epps), Claire (Ali Larter) and K-Mart (Spencer Locke). They are attacked by a group of zombies, but they fight them off and escape into an abandoned building. There they find out that there are other survivors hiding there as well – including Jill Valentine (Sienna Guillory).
